4months

Four months have gone by so quickly!!! I can't believe how animated Lucas has become. So strong and so much personality. Lucas weighed in a 17lbs and 10oz on his 4 months old doctor trip. The doctor noted that Lucas one one of the bigger babies that he has worked with. He's talking now, but I think he enjoys yelling more. Lots of screeching and laughing. And the smiles... so many smiles. He is such a wonderful little man. Jimmy are having more and more fun with him, as he has become so much more responsive to interaction.

March Madness

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!!! The Murphy family is happy to celebrate our first St. Patty's with Lucas. Jim brough home some Irish soda bread for the occasion. I am thinking about making some Shepard's pie tonight as well.

Jim and I just had our birthdays... our course, we already had the best present. Our little man. We had our first night together with out him. His Mima and Papa were wonderful enough to take him for the night so that Jim and I could hit the Spa and use our gift certificate for dual massages... pure bliss. And then for fun we went to the circus! Of course, we woke up in the morning missing Lucas, and rushed to go retreive him. We found Lucas very content and not missing us nearly as much as we missed him. What a happy little man!

3 months... and growing fast!!

Lucas is celebrated his third month of life this weekend. A trip to the doctor for another shot this week, revealed that Lucas now weigh 16lbs. 4 oz. To put this in perspective, Lucas has a few lady friends that are 6 and 7 months, that weigh just about the same... so he is a BIG boy and VERY strong. And more importantly, he's become a much better sleeper (5 1/2 hours last night!!)

Today, Jimmy and Lucas went to the Intrepid. They had a really good time looking at airplanes, meeting astronauts, and walking around on the ship. Lucas seems to have taken to the planes!

Back at home, he really is starting to enjoying trying to stand. If it weren't for his lack of balance, I really think he'd be standing...

Miami!!!!

A much needed get away. The Murphy family took a trip to Miami, FL this past weekend. Lucas had his airplane ride, first touch of the ocean, and first day outside not all bundled up... and we had a really great time. Great Aunt Eileen was a great hostess, and Lucas adored her (and her purple feather hat)...
