Great Grandparents are something to be grateful for...

Thanksgiving was very special this year. Lucas got to meet his great grandparents, Mary and Clay LeFebvre, who came from Connecticut to share Thanksgiving. Great Uncle Mike even brought a turkey to make it easier for Jim and I. It was a great day!

There is so much to be grateful for this holiday season. Lucas being first and foremost, but the support from our Family and Friends has been wonderful and we are extremely grateful for all of you!! May you all enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving!! Lots of love to all!! -The Murphy's.

Day Four... at home with the Murphy's

We are on our second day at home, enjoying our moments with Lucas. He had his first doctor check up today, and was giving a clean bill of health. He is doing very well. He is the same weight he was a birth, which is really good, b/c many babies lose weight in their first days. Sleeping in 2-3 hour stretches, with one 4 hour stretch last night. Mom was very happy about that. Mostly we just spend our time staring at Lucas in awe. He's just too cute!!

Lucas Dylan Murphy

Introducing... Lucas Dylan Murphy. Arrived November 21, 2008, at 1:43pm. He weighed in at 8lbs, 8 oz, and stretched to 21 inches long. He is absolutely beautiful, but then again, we are a little biased. Labor was long, 21 hours, but mom and dad are recovering well from the excitement and the drain. Lucas is a great eater, but he does not love sleeping too much, hoping he catches on to that soon! We are home and settling in now. Lots of Love to all. -Vanessa, Jim, and Lucas.

'Twas the night before Lucas

And all through the house, everyone was scurrying around getting ready for little Lucas to arrive. OK, I know it's really Thanksgiving that's around the corner, but all I have been thinking about is how we were going to get a Christmas tree with a newborn at home so.... we decided to go out and get one before he comes!! It was a great way to spend the night with Jim and Grandma E (who is still trying to get used to the Grandma title!). It's been a great night, and I am anxious to go to bed so I can wake up and get to the hospital. Be in touch with you all soon.

Bags are packed!!

So, the bags are packed and we are getting ready. Going to the Hospital early tomorrow (Thursday morning). And if all goes well, later that day or early Friday morning we will finally get to meet our little Lucas!! We are so excited!! Stay tuned, we will post new pics as soon as we can! Great Grandparents

Lucas is going to be one lucky little boy. Not only will he have more grandparents than the average child, he is blessed with two great grandparents!! This weekend, Jimmy and I stopped by for a visit. They are are just as excited and anxious for the new arrival as us.
